Complex: After all the shit you’ve been through, do you feel strong?

Cudi: I’m maturing. A boy crumbles from stress, a man can take some punches. And I’ve been getting sucker-punched for a long time. Life’s been beating the shit out of me, mentally and physically. But life is one big fucking joke, so I’m laughing inside.

Man, I watched from the sidelines as all this happened over the last half year and im so glad he’s finally talking.

The article is about 6 months of Cudi not saying anything, not talking to anyone, not defending himself and taking all the shit and hate possible from fans and bloggers etc. So he sat down in one sitting, got it all out and made a point that need to be made. Shit happens, he knows he fucked up and he’s not fucking around anymore.

You might read it all and think he sounds like a cocky ass. If your going to make great music you have to believe you are great and what you’re doing is great. Otherwise you’ll make mediocre shit and just worry about album sales.
